Exploring the Future of Clean Beauty
Beyond leadership, Dr. Stafa is deeply engaged with trends in his field. "One of the trends we observe among consumers, particularly within the Gen Z population, is their preference for clean beauty," he says. "They want brands to provide an experience, not just a product."
Dr. Stafa's current focus is on exosomes, nanovesicles that play a key role in cell-to-cell communication. "Exosomes have been used in certain liquid biopsies to treat solid tumors. They contain microRNAs and proteins," he explains. "The biggest challenge is whether we can extract exosomes from plants or flowers and use them as packaging. Can we engineer them to enhance the cells, providing increased hydration or firming?"
Education and Research Achievements
Dr. Stafa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in neuroscience from EPFL in Switzerland, a master's degree in molecular and industrial biotechnology from the University of Bologna and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. He also completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Diego.
His academic work has earned recognition, including the PhD thesis award from the Brain Mind Institute at EPFL in 2014. "I am committed to continuous learning," he says. "Patience, consistency and pushing beyond my limits are values I learned from my family and they guide me every day."
Additionally, Dr. Stafa has published numerous papers on topics from Parkinson's disease to skin aging and continues to contribute to forward-looking research in dermatology and neurology.

As he considers the next stage of his career, Dr. Stafa has clear goals. "In the next five to 10 years, I want to establish my own startup that will give back to the community," he says. "I want to promote a longer and healthier life not only for myself but also for others."
