For the second consecutive year, Ramaco Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ: METC) ("Ramaco" or the "Company") is proud to be a recipient of a Sentinels of Safety Award, the United States’ most prestigious recognition for mine safety. This national award joins several additional awards Ramaco received this month from the Virginia Department of Energy for Excellence in Mining, Reclamation and Safety.

Following years of collaborative work, Ramaco Resources Inc. formally acquired a patent from the U.S. Department of Energy’s leading research institution, the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), for the commercial development of a revolutionary coal-to-products technology. The patented process uses coal as feedstock to help create vehicle batteries, construction and infrastructure materials, and a wide range of consumer products.

In association with researchers from the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (“NETL”) and analysts at mining consultancy Weir International, metallurgical coal producer Ramaco Resources, Inc. (“Ramaco”-NASDAQ: METC) today released an independent Exploration Target report with technical assessment of rare earth elements (“REE”) found at its Brook Mine in Wyoming.

As part of the global energy transition, political and business leaders are considering a future in which coal plays a role in non-energy, technology-forward applications.
