TransRe today announced a number of promotions designed to sharpen its focus on building strong, lasting partnerships with clients and brokers:

TransRe today announced changes within its executive team, including the promotions of Louise Rose and Kyle Rhodes, and the retirement of Andy Taylor after a distinguished career with the company.

To better support the build out and adoption of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Large Language Models, TransRe has restructured its data science team:

Julien Mollinier has joined TransRe’s Continental European team as President of EMEA to support business growth opportunities and lead all underwriting and business development activities across the region. In his new role, Julien will work closely with TransRe’s European office network in Luxembourg, Munich, Paris, and Zurich.

Following its most recent Board meeting, TransRe has promoted several leaders to new roles.

In a global leadership transition, on May 1 2023 Paul Bonny will retire from his role as Executive Vice Chairman after 41 years with TransRe. Paul founded TransRe’s International division when he opened the London office in 1982. Since then, he has built a team of almost two hundred professionals in eleven offices across eight time zones, and has played the most significant role in creating the global reinsurance brand that TransRe is today. Paul will continue to offer advice and assistance to TransRe through his ongoing role as a non-Executive Director of TransRe.

TransRe has named Jim Crutchley to the newly created position of Global Facultative Leader. In his new role, Mr. Crutchley will be responsible for the strategic direction of TransRe’s global book of facultative business. Mr. Crutchley will work with TransRe’s regional facultative teams and global product leaders to identify and execute market opportunities, streamline and standardize workflows, and accelerate data and analytics around market changes and claims trends.

TransRe has named Matthew Mahoney to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his continuing responsibilities for finance and accounting, Mr. Mahoney will also assume responsibility for the strategic direction of TransRe’s legal, regulatory, audit and information technology departments. As part of these changes, TransRe has promoted Brian Gallahue to Deputy Chief Financial Officer, in which role he will continue to report to Mr. Mahoney.
